As relief veterinarians employed by our own corporation, we provide your business/corporation with an attractive cost reducing instrument. All compensation is made to SOCAL Vet Services on a 1099 schedule. You pay no state or federal taxes, no worker's compensation and have no EDD statements.

Naturally we carry our own professional liability, health and disability insurance. This saves you a considerable amount of paper work, employment costs and expenses. One corporation contracts with another corporation or proprietorship.

We prefer developing good, solid relationships with one or two hospitals on a regular basis (permanent part-time work).

Depending on the schedule or shift length, we charge a competitive price (available upon request) per doctor for a normal eight-hour day. We charge $700 for a night shift (6 p.m. to 8 a.m.). We are also very open to compensation based on a percentage of production. Commission percentage levels are negotiable.

SOCAL Vet Services provides a full array of soft tissue, orthopedic, neurological and eye instruments to handle more advanced cases. For practices with ultrasound equipment, Dr George offers excellent ultrasound skills, including U/S guided fine needle aspirates.

We also provide our own surgical gowns, surgical gloves and vital equipment (stethoscopes, indirect fundic lenses, laptop with VIN access, etc). And we use our own steam and gas sterilizers so your staff is not encumbered with pack preparation.

When operating our own practice, we achieved an average realized annual profit margin of 37 percent. We understand the veterinary business.
